The highly anticipated Cupra Terramar will arrive in 2024
The Cupra Terramar will arrive in 2024 and will be produced in Hungary alongside the Audi Q3.

Cupra has presented its plans for the future, and we have been able to see the new and highly anticipated Cupra Terramar. This hybrid SUV will be produced at the group’s plant in Hungary and will share a production line with the Audi Q3. For now, details remain quite scarce. We know the new SUV will arrive in 2024 and will be available with combustion engines featuring mild-hybrid technology and plug-in hybrids.
The latter will include even more options and greater range than previously offered, as Cupra has assured, promising that the Terramar would have around 100 km of purely electric range. The brand has also indicated that its e-HYBRID range will focus on performance and “contemporary sportiness.” Its name may help clarify this, as it is inspired by the Sitges-Terramar racing circuit. The banked oval was inaugurated in 1923 in a coastal town near Barcelona and was the home of Cupra.
Everything we know about the Cupra Terramar

The crossover will measure almost 4,500 mm in length, very similar to the Audi Q3. Positioned as a compact SUV, it will have to compete with the Hyundai Tucson and will be longer than the Cupra Ateca or the Cupra Formentor. Like the Audi Q3, the new Cupra Terramar will be based on a modified version of the MQB platform, which is intended to serve as the basis for the next generation of PHEVs in the Group Volkswagen. Likewise, Cupra has confirmed that this will be the last petrol or diesel vehicle it produces.
Jorge Diez, design director at Cupra, added that “our new sporty hybrid SUV perfectly combines bold proportions with a long, striking bonnet, while the shark nose signifies revolutionary resistance and the determination to win. Thinking about how the driver will feel, we deliver a unique experience with the latest technology, thanks to the driver-oriented interior concept.”
The Cupra Terramar is part of a trio of vehicles the brand showed at an event in Terramar, Sitges. The SUV will join the Tavascan and the UrbanRebel in the Cupra lineup by 2025.
