The Honda Prelude e:HEV gets a limited edition and a new price in Spain
Honda brings the Limited Edition version of the Prelude to Spain, which will also see its price substantially reduced if financed through the brand

Among the iconic models of Honda, the Prelude holds a special place. A coupe born in 1978, it made many young people dream all over the world but, unfortunately, more due to the brand’s decision, it had been absent from the Honda range for 25 years. We now live in an era in which brands need to revive their missing icons, reimagined as hybrids or especially electric models, to catch the consumer’s eye and drive sales, something that has not gone unnoticed at Honda.
Following the relevant announcements, Honda presented the Prelude last autumn. It keeps its coupe format but features the Japanese brand’s hybrid system under the bonnet, which, it’s worth noting, operates very smoothly. To increase the appeal of this model, the brand is launching the Limited Edition version in Europe, and of course in Spain as well, after seeing the great reception it has had in the Land of the Rising Sun, while also announcing a price reduction for the Prelude e:HEV.

If we are thinking of getting a Honda Prelude Limited Edition, we will have a model that stands out for its exclusive Premium Metallic Garnet Red body colour, which, according to the brand, was created and studied to highlight the lines of the Prelude. To add some contrast, the brand has decided to apply black to other areas such as the 19-inch alloy wheels, as well as red details, found on elements such as the front and rear bumpers and the Brembo-branded brake calipers.

For the interior of the Honda Prelude Limited Edition, the Burgundy shade has been chosen to create a more sophisticated yet sporty atmosphere, with red contrasts added again, such as the stitching on the steering wheel, centre console, dashboard, front seats and door panels, finishing off with the specific floor mats for this version. Furthermore, each Prelude Limited Edition will feature the Prelude logo embroidered on the dashboard.

What does not change is the latest-generation e:HEV hybrid system from Honda, consisting of a 2,000 cc petrol engine together with the light automatic transmission with dual electric motors and the Honda S+ Shift system, delivering a power output of 184 CV along with a torque of 315 Nm. Also part of this hybrid system is the high-power 72-cell lithium-ion battery.
Note that from 1 October the Honda Prelude e:HEV will have a price reduced to 43,600 euros for units financed through Honda Bank. For its part, the Prelude Limited Edition will arrive in Spain during the last quarter of the year.
