GMC Hummer EV Electric Cars Todoterrenos Videos
The Hummer EV dissected from the start of the project in a complete GMC video
GMC has released a one-hour documentary showing the entire design and development process of the Hummer EV, from the beginning of the project to the end.

The arrival of the Hummer EV has raised a lot of expectations. We know it is a model with several issues. For example, in Spain it will not be possible to drive it with a B licence, the one we all have, because its weight exceeds the 3,500 kg that this licence allows you to drive. But although it is an excessive, large and heavy vehicle, it has managed to catch our attention.
The original Hummer came from a military vehicle, so no one expected it to offer much performance. Offering a street vehicle based on a model designed to operate in hostile territories (in every sense) naturally did not allow the model to deliver much performance. The electric version has had to fight against that idea and manage to attract the attention of potential buyers.

A video to clear up doubts
The video you can watch at the end of this article takes a tour of the entire project, from the moment of conception until the vehicle took physical shape. During the first part, perhaps the most interesting, they focus on everything they discussed to manage to take the first steps in the design of the model.
The infotainment system also needed special treatment, and the video shows how its development was carried out: a system created specifically for this model and how it was integrated into it.
But the most striking images are those capturing the tests carried out with the car. Its movement over dirt tracks, with significant gradients and at considerable speed, creates a spectacle worth seeing. We must not forget that the Hummer EV weighs 4,082 kg, so watching it jump during one of these tests is quite an experience. And that’s without mentioning riding inside while it happens.
The tests these prototypes were subjected to are so impressive that in one of them we can see the vehicle’s steering bar bend, and the mechanics have to repair it on the spot. No one can say they skimped on resources to prove that this new Hummer EV is a beast that must be controlled and that is capable of almost anything.
