The hybrid version of Lamborghini will be a special edition with a V12 engine
The first hybrid from Lamborghini will become a special edition fitted with a powerful, thunderous and incredible V12 engine. The expectations surrounding this hypercar are, to say the least, very high.
Lamborghini has been talking about hybrid technology for a long time. After so much talk, everything suggests that we will see its first hybrid model, at least in a brief glimpse, at the upcoming Motor Show in Frankfurt, which will take place in spring 2019.

In an interview with Motoring, the CEO of Lamborghini revealed that his company is working on a new model which, is named LB48H, and we assume it is the hybrid model, and that it will eventually receive a name more in keeping with the style of the prestigious Italian manufacturer.
Production of this hybrid hypercar will be limited to 63 units, a number that, incidentally, is a clear nod to the year Lamborghini was founded, which also indicates how important this hybrid will be for the company, being none other than the model chosen to represent the birth of the brand…

Although the CEO has not revealed further details about the model, it will feature several details envisaged by the Terzo Millennio concept. As for its design, it will have an especially aggressive front end, an imposing bonnet, and will be very low and with particularly futuristic lines.
One of the clear differences from the Terzo Millennio Concept is that the latter is fully electric, while the new supermodel from Lamborghini will be hybrid and will have a 6.5-litre V12 engine.
The electric motor that will be part of the new supercar will drive the front wheels, while the V12 will power the rear wheels. This layout will give the model all-wheel drive and incredible amounts of power. Its exact figures are currently unknown; however, speculation puts it in a range similar to or close to 838 CV of gross power.

Its market launch is expected in 2020, and another of the most interesting details about it is that its electric motor will be able to run on a single charge for around 30 or 50 kilometres, which will make it perfect for short trips around the city.
In short, we are looking at a real treat that will make the mouths of all those whose wallets can afford it water, since, obviously, it will not be cheap…
