The Hyundai Tucson goes on an adventure in the film Uncharted

In the film starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas, a concept model of the Tucson, modified for the adventure, was used.

Car manufacturers continue to rely on cinema and blockbusters to turn their models into luxury and highly visible showcases. We have seen how many of the major Hollywood productions feature many cars shown in all their splendour, used by both the protagonists and their adversaries. Not long ago we saw how Hyundai showcased several models in Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which it collaborated with Tom Holland to defeat his enemies.

Now it is another film starring the young American actor that will serve as a platform for one of the most popular models of the Korean brand to be seen. Hyundai has presented the concept model Tucson “Beast“, a variant of the SUV that has been transformed into a vehicle ready to experience the most thrilling adventures.

The modified vehicle has received quite an extreme treatment from the Hyundai Technical and Design Centre in Irvine, California, in collaboration with Sony Pictures. The most visible changes are to the bodywork. A front protective bar has been added, along with a strip of additional LED lights, a snorkel-style exhaust, a reinforced roof rack and side steps to make access easier.

The bolt-on wheel arch extensions help give it a more radical look, and the black-finished steel wheels are fitted with Nitto A/T tyres supplied by Toyo. The suspension has also been modified to show that this is a high-performance off-road vehicle.

In the film, which opens on 11 February in Spain, the car will not only be available to Tom Holland, but also features Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas. The modified Hyundai Tucson for the film will also appear in a television advert called “Car Wash“, which can be seen around the world. And, by the way, you can watch it at the end of the article.

The Hyundai Tucson will not be alone in this action and adventure film, as several units of the Genesis G90, G80 and GV90 will also appear.
