The Italian police debut a Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4

It seems to be fashionable for police forces to add some rather more “special” unit to their fleets of patrol vehicles.
Such is the case of the Italian police, which on this occasion adds to its ranks a brand-new Lamborghini Huracan, a true Italian icon.
This model will also serve to replace the former Gallardos that the Italian police already used for emergency duties such as transporting organs for transplants or high-speed pursuits. In fact, its equipment includes a defibrillator and a dedicated refrigerated compartment.
The Huracan has been customised both inside and out. The bodywork is painted blue, with matching vinyls in contrasting white. Naturally, the agents’ Huracan features a light bar on the roof, like any patrol vehicle.

In addition, it incorporates a video recording system, essential for catching offenders red-handed. This system will be used both on patrol duties and in traffic work.
The relationship between the brand and the Italian police is no recent story. In fact, this year marks the tenth anniversary of the collaboration between the two. It was in 2004 that Lamborghini handed the Italian Police its first customised vehicle, a Gallardo that was novel at the time.
Let us recall that the Lamborghini Huracan uses a 5.2 V10 engine producing 610 CV and 560 Nm, enough to exceed 300 km/h without much difficulty.
