The Jeep Compass gets a major renewal with a generous dose of modernity and more technology
Jeep returns to the fray with the Compass renewal, a model that brings significant mechanical and technological updates to face 2021 with determination

Renovate or die, a saying that many take very seriously, and Jeep belongs to that group which, without losing sight of its principles, manages to reinvent itself successfully. Now it is the turn of the small Compass, a model that once inherited the 4×4 DNA of its bigger siblings but is seasoned with a set of attributes that make it the perfect ally for getting around the city. To keep fulfilling that role to perfection, the American brand has decided to subject it to a series of important changes.
It is true that the styling of the Jeep Compass 2021 remains unchanged, but the brand has taken the opportunity to introduce a new engine and more generous equipment. With this in mind, Jeep is getting ready to face the rest of the year and the next one with strength and drive thanks to this renewal and to important additions that we will learn about gradually.
Production will start in July at the Melfi plant in Italy, where all units destined for the European market will be built. In this way, Jeep guarantees shorter production times, with a process of six to eight weeks for the Spanish market, thus ensuring a more fruitful and satisfying experience for the customer.

However, the highlight of this renewal is found in the technological and mechanical section of the Jeep Compass. Even so, we cannot overlook the expanded colour palette with five new shades or the six new alloy wheel designs ranging from 16 to 19 inches. Furthermore, the equipment has also been considerably improved with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and a parking camera, among others.
But the main novelty lies in the new 1.3-litre turbo four-cylinder engine capable of delivering 130 CV, power that will be managed through either a manual gearbox or a DDCT dual-clutch automatic with Sport function. The diesels will now be represented by a single engine, a 120 CV 1.6 Mjet. Finally, two 4xe plug-in hybrid versions of 190 and 240 CV will be added to the range of options.

In this way, Jeep flexes its muscle once again to show that the off-road segment remains in full swing and able to hold its ground against adversity. Now the Compass will set a new era for the brand thanks to a more attractive technological arsenal and a mechanical offer more committed to caring for the environment.
