The Jeep Renegade gets the 120 CV Multijet with 4x4 drive and the G4ME CH4NGER edition

The Spanish range of the Jeep Renegade, which we put through a special road test taking advantage of our coverage of the Geneva Motor Show, has been completed with additional versions. The most adventurous of all, called Trailhawk, can now be purchased exclusively with the 2.0 Multijet II turbodiesel engine producing 170 CV, the 9-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep Active Drive Low all-wheel drive.
But above all, the highlight is the arrival of a new 120 horsepower variant of the same two-litre Multijet II engine, which allows access to this four-wheel-drive system for less money. It is combined only with the manual six-speed gearbox, with which the Renegade accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 s, reaches a top speed of 191 km/h, consumes 5.1 l/100 km on the combined cycle and emits 134 g/km of CO2.

Jeep has taken advantage of its introduction to announce the launch of the new special edition G4ME CH4NGER, although the 2.0 Multijet II 120 CV with all-wheel drive is also sold in the Longitude and Limited trims. The Renegade G4ME CH4NGER is available with two exterior colours, Glacier Grey and Colorado Red, while the interior is black in either case.
This trim starts from the equipment included in the mid-level Longitude, which already comes as standard with fog lights, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a six-speaker sound system and the UConnect 5.0 multimedia system. To that list, the G4ME CH4NGER adds metallic paint, 17-inch alloy wheels, M+S tyres, dual-zone automatic climate control and the Function 1 pack, which includes electric mirrors, a keyless entry and start system, a boot with a reversible, height-adjustable load floor and a 230 V charging socket.

These extras, which normally cost more than 1,600 euros, are provided at no extra cost on the Renegade G4ME CH4NGER. The manufacturer’s recommended price, identical to that of the Longitude, is 24,535 euros, which represents a saving of 930 euros compared with what was until now the cheapest all-wheel-drive version. If you opt for the Limited trim, the Renegade 2.0 Multijet 120 CV 4×4 costs 26,070 euros.
