The Kia EV2 expands its range with the new Black-Line trim, a more capable battery and the GT Line version
The KIA EV2 gets three new variants: the more elegant Black-Line, the sportier GT-Line version and the version with extended range available across Europe.

KIA has just unveiled the new high-end Black-Line trim. Although it remains an electric city car, the design has been oriented towards creating a space dedicated to lifestyle and design. This new variant starts production today at the Žilina plant in Slovakia, together with the GT-Line version and the version with extended range.
Following its presentation at the Brussels Motor Show, this model went on sale in Europe. Initially, it was fitted with a standard battery offering a range of up to 315 kilometres. Now, the battery fitted to this longer-range version has a capacity of 61 kWh, raising the range to 444 kilometres.

In this way, the KIA EV2 can offer greater efficiency in urban driving, but also on intercity journeys. Aesthetically it features details such as a black logo, along with gloss black exterior trim and other exclusive details of this variant that define the model’s style.
Some of these exclusive elements are the black alloy wheels, as well as the optional two-tone roof. In the cabin we find a combination of dark grey and black tones, a contrast that gives it a different and high-quality look. As for equipment, it includes the KIA ccNc infotainment system with navigation, the Harman/Kardon sound system and the Highway Driving Assist 2.0.

KIA EV2 with extended range
The new battery offers a range of up to 444 kilometres and can charge with a DC fast charger, going from 10 to 80% in around 30 minutes. With an AC charger it can use an output of 11 and 22 kW, so it can be charged at home without problems and reduce the electricity bill. It also features V2L technology, which allows the battery charge to power other external devices.
KIA EV2 GT Line
This is the sportiest variant with the most personality of the KIA EV2. Body-coloured trim pieces have been added to the bodywork. There are also distinctive details and other decorative elements from the GT Line range. It is fitted with a three-spoke steering wheel and metal pedals. Seats with memory and ventilation functions have also been added, and the Digital Key 2.0 provides greater comfort and advanced functionality.
On board the KIA EV2 we find the technology equipment we expect in a vehicle from the brand: from KIA’s triple screen, the possibility of remote software updates and a complete catalogue of driver assistance systems. The electric model has been conceived for the European driver and sets a high standard to position itself in an increasingly competitive market.
