The Los Angeles Show wants to make some noise two months before its opening

Although the Paris Show is still a few weeks away, the Los Angeles Show has begun announcing the new models that will be presented at the Californian event in November

It’s about two weeks until the Paris Motor Show begins, and although the next major event in the automotive world won’t start until November 26, people are already talking about all the new models that will be there. The Los Angeles Auto Show is to the United States what the Paris Motor Show is to Europe, and there we will see some of the new models aimed at the American market, but also those for the rest of the world. In fact, it is expected that 50 new models will be presented for both markets, according to .

The first name that comes up in relation to the Los Angeles Auto Show is BMW, which apparently will have a dominant presence at the event. At the Californian show, it is expected to bring the new BMW 8 Series Coupé, the BMW X5 and the updated BMW Z4, which will be the most important new model because it has not yet been seen and will serve as a debut to the world. A new concept car is also expected, though no further information is available for the moment.

Along these lines, we could also see other models, although there are rumours that it could be the BMW 8 Series Convertible and the crossover BMW X7. Other models that could arrive at the Los Angeles Auto Show are the BMW X3 M and the BMW X4 M, which have already enjoyed a teaser just a few weeks ago.

Volkswagen wants to present a fully electric concept, which could be accompanied by two new models. One of them would be the Volkswagen Golf GTI Rabbit Edition and the other, the farewell version of the Beetle, the Volkswagen Beetle Final Edition, with which they will bid farewell to the production of this iconic model.

Japanese manufacturers, which have a strong market in the United States, will also be present. For example, Toyota will present hybrid vehicles for American buyers, and Subaru will join with its own offerings, which include a plug-in hybrid featuring Toyota technology.

Other brands that have confirmed their attendance at the Los Angeles Auto Show are Nissan, Porsche and Volvo, which also enjoy good standing in the United States. For its part, Rivian, one of the manufacturers of electric cars looking to carve out a niche, will present a fully electric pick-up, alongside an SUV that will also feature an electric powertrain. These new models reflect a move towards cleaner mobility, something that seemed quite complicated in the American market, which is more inclined toward powerful petrol engines.

In fact, California is one of the states most aware of this issue, and the Los Angeles Auto Show aims to champion cleaner mobility, since a third of the cars presented will feature an electrified powertrain, whether hybrid or fully electric.
