Audi e-tron: the most anticipated details revealed
The Audi e-tron is presented as the brand’s first fully electric car. Suitable for all kinds of situations and featuring all the latest advances in technology, the e-tron is presented as a 100% electric SUV with a range of 400 km.
The new Audi SUV, the e-tron, is a 100% electric vehicle designed to offer sporty, family and leisure use alike. With overall dimensions of 1,935 mm wide and 1,616 mm high, it provides enough space and comfort for any kind of plan.

We have followed this model closely since its official announcement, during which we have been able to gather all kinds of information about it. If you are interested, we recommend you visit the following articles:

High performance in any situation
The Audi e-tron aims to become an example of the new electric technology in the driving world. It features two electric motors that drive the SUV, producing no emissions and operating in absolute silence.
In combination, its motors produce a maximum output of 300 kW and a maximum torque of 664 Nm. Despite its large size and weight, it can reach 100 km/h in a total time of 5.7 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 200 km/h, specifically designed to preserve its range figures.

Thanks to its quattro all-wheel drive system, the new e-tron grips the road perfectly and adapts to any type of terrain, surface or climate. The motors, moreover, will prioritise either efficiency or power delivery.
When maximum grip is required, the all-wheel drive system comes into play. It is capable of making these adjustments predictively, even before the wheel begins to lose traction. This talent shines especially on icy surfaces.
The e-tron’s centre of gravity is arranged as if it were a saloon. Thanks to the strategic placement of its batteries and its low, centred position, it achieves handling similar to vehicles in this segment. The weight distribution is perfectly balanced, 50:50.

The driver will have 7 driving profiles that adapt to all kinds of driving needs, allowing them to gain more range or enjoy a more dynamic driving style.
Technology focused on efficiency and thermal management
The e-tron is capable of covering 400 km on a single charge. Partly thanks to its energy recovery system, through regenerative braking among other things, it contributes 30% of that efficiency. When coasting, the car also recovers energy.

When braking from 100 km/h, the e-tron can recover electrical energy with a maximum torque of 300 Nm and a power of 220 kW. This translates into more than 70% of the energy produced by its propulsion system. No other series-production model is able to achieve similar figures.
Solutions and alternatives for your journeys and your home
Thanks to the “Audi e-tron charging service”, the e-tron gains easy access to 80% of electric charging stations across Europe. Whether it is AC or DC, 11 kW or 150 kW, all you need to complete the process is a card, which gives you access to these charging stations.

To charge the car at home, there are 2 options. On one hand, the standard socket delivering 230 volts and charging at 11 kW. It also features an optional connect charging system, which doubles the charging power, raising it up to 22 kW.
Electrifying exterior and interior
The octagonal-design Singleframe grille with vertical bars remains present on the model. Audi, however, has chosen to convey the “electricity” of its new model through design, using a number of details.
The grille is closed and finished in platinum grey. The standard LED headlights have four small horizontal cream-coloured bars along their lower edge. Expressive side skirts with black inserts make the battery’s location clear.

The interior conveys lightness, intelligence and sportiness. An arc wraps around the Audi Virtual Exterior Mirrors, which integrate harmoniously and extend along the wide instrument panel to the door trims.

The central tunnel console rests on the open sides. Seemingly floating above it, the armrest appears with the integrated gear selector, which the driver operates with the thumb and index finger. Lightness and performance merge into a single concept.
First deliveries will arrive at the end of 2018
The Audi e-tron is manufactured at the Brussels plant, which is CO2-emissions neutral. First deliveries to European customers are planned for the end of 2018. The starting price in Spain is 82,400 euros.

In some markets, including Spain, customers will have access to the exclusive ‘Audi e-tron edition one’, a special edition limited to 2,600 units, with specific details and a especially generous equipment package.
