The Lotus Elise RGB as shown at Pebble Beach

Lotus Elise RGB

Lotus rounds off the cycle of model presentations in North America, on the occasion of the exclusive showing at Pebble Beach, in California. It already dazzled us with the Exos Type 125 and made our mouths water with the Evora Cup GT4. All that was missing was the Elise RGB, companion to the Exige S RGB.

Dedicating 44 years of your life to the same company, being one of the key figures in the Lotus world (the Colin Chapman of the Lotus road cars), has its reward: this model was built in honour of Roger George Becker, an engineer who worked for the British company all those years and who was one of the most important figures in making Lotus what it is today.

This Lotus model will come autographed by Becker and will feature commemorative plaques. It will have a special suspension system, traction control and special lightweight wheels created specifically for the model. The interior features leather seats and improved cabin soundproofing.

The Elise SC will carry a 1.8-litre engine with a supercharger producing 220 CV and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds. This model will have a price of around 44,000 euros in its home country, Great Britain.
