McLaren has announced that the future BP23 will see the light of day in October, and only 106 units will be built. It has revealed its silhouette in this teaser video.

Nowadays we can find some car manufacturers reviving some of their most iconic models, something they achieve with very special models. McLaren has a great history behind it, which has allowed it to reach the success it enjoys today. One of its first steps was the F1, a vehicle that was truly acclaimed both in its own time and today. The Woking firm has decided to create its direct successor, which we know as the BP23 and which shows its silhouette in this teaser.

McLaren entered the world of production vehicles with the F1, and it wasn’t until this century that it did so again with the MP4-12C. Since then, the British firm has continued to grow until it made a name for itself in the supercar segment, where fierce competition mercilessly challenged the models of McLaren, but they managed to come out on top, demonstrating their great effectiveness on the track.

A few years after that MP4-12C made its appearance, McLaren presented the P1, a hypercar that ushered the world into a new era of supercars. Now, the British firm has decided to take yet another step forward by creating a new model that will offer its customers a completely different level, the BP23. It comes with a three-seat configuration, just like its predecessor, and promises to become one of the fastest production vehicles in the world.

Today the British firm has given us a new teaser that brings us closer to the vital form of the BP23, whose real name we still don’t know. In this video, we can see smooth, stylized lines, created to offer aerodynamics in keeping with the whole, and thus be able to reach high speeds in a very short time.

For now, McLaren has made no statements about the technical specifications of the upcoming BP23, but we can surmise that its heart will house the already well-known 4.0-litre supercharged V8 and assisted by an electric motor. In this way, we could be looking at a vehicle capable of developing more than 1,000 CV of power, thus becoming the fastest model ever created by the firm from Woking.

It will be in October of this year when the brand premieres the BP23 and we will learn its real name and its new aerodynamics. At the same time, and as is customary, this hypercar will have a limited production of just 106 units, making it a very exclusive piece. In the meantime, we will have to make do with a series of teasers that will leave us eager for more.
