The McLaren P1 testing in Spain

An amateur video captures the test mule of the new McLaren P1 running through Spain. Its roar is unique.

Ron Dennis and his engineers are not planning to leave a single loose end before their new creation and future supercar among supercars, the McLaren P1, reaches production in the coming months. The latest place where it has been spotted, luckily, has been Spain. The beast is loose on our roads.

With the McLaren F1, the British firm managed to build the best car in the world of its time, and even today we could say it is one of the best vehicles you can find, although that does not stop the very brand that did what it did 20 years ago from doing it again, achieving perfection in every aspect.

In the spy video you have below, we can see in full detail how a group of testers refuel the P1’s tank with 98-octane petrol so that it can go on to do its thing later, roaring as only it knows how.

As a curiosity, the doors of the supercar open in a very similar way to those of its smaller sibling, the McLaren MP4-12C, although we could say that this and the engine base are the only things they have in common. The P1 is pure innovation, from the mechanics to the aerodynamics.

I’m eager to know the time it will be capable of achieving on the old Nürburgring circuit.
