The Mercedes-AMG GT leaks two months before its unveiling!
An Instagram account leaks the new Mercedes-AMG GT two months before its unveiling.

Believe it or not, the Mercedes-AMG GT has leaked two months before its unveiling through an Instagram post. The relationship between the owner of the social media account and the star brand is unknown, but the image does appear to have been taken from a kind of brand “presentation”, which explains the low image quality of the picture heading this article.
Some sources claim the image may have been captured from an internal product presentation video, which raises questions: Mercedes-Benz may be presenting the model internally, as it shares elements with the Mercedes-AMG SL. The truth is that this new generation is not just a sporty coupé version of the SL, but AMG has given the new model its own identity.
The Mercedes-AMG GT is built on a shared platform, which makes the model a more practical sports car and will position it as both an alternative to and a rival of the Porsche 911.
Everything we know about the Mercedes-AMG GT
The leaked image is possibly an entry-level version and will have nothing to do with the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance that, as with other models, the brand will present at the end. Everything points to the new generation sharing the same engines as the SL, so it could be fitted with the V8.
It could also come with extras you would never have imagined. So much so that even if you opt for the most basic versions, your next Mercedes-AMG GT will look as if it were the luxury version. For now, the star brand has not announced anything about the new GT generation, but we wonder whether Mercedes-Benz will finally equip the GT with the four-cylinder engine block.
This could mean the new sports car might offer power starting at 375 CV, and we will have to wait to see how far the new generation goes. Another option is that the sports car fits a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which would make it the most powerful version you can buy until the Mercedes-AMG GT V8 g3 SE Performance plug-in hybrid reaches the market.
