The Mercedes AMG GT4 is revealed in these four images ahead of its imminent presentation
Mercedes has just unveiled some images of the upcoming AMG GT4, which is being put through a wind tunnel. This suggests its presentation is imminent.

New developments never stop in the automotive world, something that is routine with the Geneva Motor Show just around the corner. A few days ago, Mercedes shared some official images of the upcoming AMG GT4, the four-door variant of the AMG GT. This vehicle will represent a revolution for the brand, as it will offer for the first time a supercar capable of seating up to four occupants. Just in case that wasn’t enough, Mercedes has decided to whet our appetite even further with four new images of this future model.
On this occasion we find the German supercar in all its glory, though under camouflage. The AMG GT4 in these images is being tested in a wind tunnel, with the aim of showing how the four-door coupé will perform on the roads once it is presented. At the same time, the engineers at Mercedes will be able to analyse the aerodynamics of this new AMG, a crucial element for travelling at high speeds.
The new sports saloon from Mercedes is about to arrive, as we will see it without its current disguise very soon and we will be able to witness all its details. These latest images provided by the star brand indicate that the AMG GT4 is ready to hit the road and show what it is capable of. At the same time, thanks to the perspective of these other photographs we can glimpse more details of this supercar.

The first thing that catches our attention is the presence of a retractable rear spoiler, which rises when the AMG GT4 reaches a certain speed. Once hidden, the rear end is streamlined and fulfils the smooth, dynamic design that this new creation from Mercedes presents. At the same time, we notice some generous air intakes at the front, which will serve the purpose of cooling various components of the powertrain that will bring the AMG GT4 to life.
The mechanicals remain a mystery, but we can infer that the star brand will rely on the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. Let’s recall that this new vehicle with the AMG badge will aim to go head-to-head with the Porsche Panamera Turbo and the future Audi RS7, so its performance could exceed 600 CV, making it one of the Mercedes most powerful ever created. However, this engine will not be alone, as we assume a hybrid powertrain will also make an appearance.

Without a doubt, this new model from the brand has generated great anticipation due to its four-door coupé concept and its clear sporting philosophy. For now we will have to wait a few weeks to see the AMG GT4 in its entirety and, in the meantime, Mercedes will continue to reveal small hints about this future model.
