The Mercedes Class X can also look stunning thanks to Prior Design

The new Mercedes ‘pick-up’, the Class X, has been handled by the tuning specialist Prior Design to give it a sportier and more striking look

We were already eager to see a pick-up with the design and contributions of Mercedes. We have already seen what concept this type of vehicle has from the star brand, but although it already offers important things not usually seen in other pick-ups from more common brands, Prior Design has looked at the model and added different and new elements to give it a more attractive image.

Considering that it is not the type of vehicle that lends itself best to these changes, the result is more than satisfactory. At the front, the change can be noticed above all in the bumper, which has been redesigned and received new air intakes and LED light strips on each side. The grille also changes, and the well-known star disappears, being replaced by the tuner’s logo. In addition, you can opt for a different bumper, sportier and aimed at more demanding terrain.

At the rear, a new bumper can also be seen, redesigned and with some changes compared to the basic model we know. The wheel arches have also been enlarged to allow wider wheels that enhance the image. The model proposed by Prior Design does not change the engine, so it offers the same unit and features as the model before the transformation.

That means it will keep the 2.3-litre engine in 163 and 190 CV versions and will keep front-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel drive. That said, the suspension and other elements such as the exhaust may be replaced by others designed to create a sportier and bolder Class X. And not only that: Prior Design’s preparation also offers new body colours and different decorations.

Looking at the interior, it has also been changed to offer even more luxury and appeal for the occupants. Alcantara is more prominent, and other elements have been changed, such as the logo on the steering wheel, which has disappeared in favour of the tuner’s logo. What do you think of this new version, improved and bolder, of the new pick-up from Mercedes?
