The Mercedes E63 S Wagon, a luxury estate for the Geneva Motor Show

A few weeks ago we could see how the Mercedes E63 S set out to push the speed limits and reached 250 km/h in less time than other models needed to reach 100 km/h. A spectacular video that left us wanting to see more of this remarkable model. But of course, it is a spectacular, imposing and powerful model, yet it is not the kind of car we are looking for, because what we really need is an estate version, and not this saloon. Well, don’t worry, because the Mercedes E63 S Wagon has arrived, and it is the one we were waiting for.
And there is no need to worry about engine power, because this version will have the same engine block as that other version. A 4.0-litre V8 engine capable of delivering 603 CV and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. Yes, this will allow it to reach 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. It has not yet reached the market and we have not even been able to see it in person, as it will be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale this coming autumn.

All this power is transmitted to all four wheels thanks to the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, exclusive to the AMG range, which balances torque between both axles to get the most out of the engine. Normally, it only sends drive to the front axle to maintain stability in corners, but by setting the selector to Drift Mode, rear-wheel drive is achieved in its purest form, along with all the fun expected from this driving mode.
The new nine-speed automatic gearbox manages that torque more efficiently, as does its suspension system, a version adapted by AMG from the hydraulic suspension of Mercedes. It offers three settings, Comfort, Sport and Sport+, to choose from for the selected driving mode and fully enjoy the driving experience.
The interior features luxury finishes, similar to the model it is based on, and the semi-autonomous driving technology will make driving more comfortable and safer. This version of the German model will not disappoint those who get behind the wheel and want to drive a genuine luxury model designed for the family.
