The MG Cyberster Concept celebrates the brand's 100 years by uniting past and future
The British brand has wanted to offer a concept model that brings together the brand’s 100 years of history with current technology to look at the brand’s future.

In 2024 the brand MG will mark 100 years of history, one of the classic British names in the industry that has returned under the umbrella of the Chinese multinational SAIC. To celebrate that centenary, MG is preparing a concept car that aims to strike a middle ground between the brand’s past and the possibilities it offers for the future.
This concept car is called MG Cyberster and has been developed by the team at the Advanced Design Centre of MG in London. With it, the brand shows its sporting aspirations and explores the possibilities of a future sports car.

Sporty exterior
At the front we find the classic round headlights of MG framing a fine grille. These headlights feature Magic Eye technology, which opens when activated. Visually it is very attractive, and a thin line of LED lights runs down the side and along the door outline, offering a very visible light signature.

MG CYBERSTER CONCEPT
The shoulder line is designed on two levels to enhance the car’s dynamic image. The large wheel arches also lend it an interesting aggressive look. At the rear, a flat Kamm Tail design has been chosen, which also features LED light clusters offering a purely British style.
This prototype draws on the whole tradition that has shaped the brand over the last century, but uses all the technology available today. Everything is focused on uniting the sports car tradition of MG with the future that opens up from now on, with the rebirth and relaunch of the brand.
The MG Cyberster Concept will have electric technology that will allow it to offer a range of 800 kilometres, although no data about the prototype has yet been made public. We will learn more at the Shanghai Motor Show between 21 and 28 April, the dates on which the concept will be unveiled to the world.
