The Neue Klasse of BMW features the latest BMW iDrive technology
BMW announces new technological additions to its iDrive system in the newly unveiled Neue Klasse, which was presented at the Munich Motor Show

The BMW Group is about to take a giant step toward the future of the automotive industry with the launch of the Neue Klasse, scheduled for 2025 and recently announced at the Munich Motor Show. This new model not only represents an evolution in terms of design and performance, but also brings a significant change in the way drivers and passengers interact with their vehicles, thanks to the innovative BMW iDrive operating system, a technological device that introduces new ways of driving safely with the latest technology at the wheel.
At the heart of this technological revolution, what will truly transform the car market, is the BMW Panoramic Vision, a feature that will forever change the way drivers orient themselves on the road. This technology is based on a new head-up display system that projects key information onto the windshield, right at the driver’s line of sight, so that they can keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel while having all the relevant information on the windshield. This panoramic projection not only provides a unique perspective for the driver, but also ensures that all passengers have access to essential information.

The BMW Panoramic Vision is complemented by the new BMW 3D Head-up Display, which is especially useful in active driving situations, such as assisted driving or navigation. This system presents information in the form of impressive 3D animations that integrate seamlessly into the driver’s field of vision. In addition, to maintain road safety, BMW has designed a new multifunction steering wheel that allows information on the screen to be controlled without taking your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel. This feature, known as “eyes on the road, hands on the wheel,” ensures a safe and comfortable driving experience.
The centerpiece of this revolution is the new central screen, which incorporates the distinctive BMW styling and an intuitive touch function. This screen uses advanced matrix backlighting technology to ensure exceptional resolution, vivid colors and impressive contrast, even in difficult lighting conditions. The central screen becomes the hub of the driver’s and passengers’ experience, enabling simple and intuitive control of all the vehicle’s functions.

The future of BMW iDrive continues to build on the successful QuickSelect concept, which was first introduced in 2023. However, the Neue Klasse will incorporate a highly integrated software architecture, powered by the next generation of the BMW Operating System. This will enable intelligent connectivity of the vehicle with the BMW Cloud and the customer’s digital ecosystem, creating an immersive user experience and opening up new possibilities in the interaction between humans and the car. In fact, this transformation will turn the vehicles of the Neue Klasse into true digital experience spaces.
The BMW Group has managed to evolve at breakneck speed in the automotive world and is now about to spark a revolution with the Neue Klasse and its future iDrive, which, by combining advanced technologies such as BMW Panoramic Vision and BMW 3D Head-up Display, together with the high-resolution central screen and intelligent connectivity, promises to turn the driving experience into something unique and exciting.
