The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio looks even more attractive, if that's possible

If there is a saloon that can combine the elegance, style and fine bearing of an Italian gentleman, it is the Alfa Romeo Giulia. But if there is a saloon capable of embodying the aforementioned prototype after hours in the gym, it is the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 2020, the update of the most extreme, sporty and attractive version of the Italian brand’s range.

And the thing is, Alfa Romeo is turning 110 years old and, in addition to celebrating it with the launch of a limited series of the car itself as the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and GTAm in homage to its link with motor racing, outside of racing this manufacturer has offered treats to its loyal followers so they can feel up close, yet legally under ordinary road regulations, what it is like to drive one of its sports cars.

The saloon we present today is the update of the brand-new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 2020 in a green colour that only serves to excite even more.

On the outside, the new rear lights, which feature LED illumination, have darkened lenses, and the rear and front logos are defined by a glossy black finish. The side view is dominated by the new 21-inch alloy wheels fitted to this gentleman, an example of the sprezzatura of Italian elegance.

The overhaul this car has undergone has focused on cutting-edge technology, keeping the mighty 6-cylinder V-configuration petrol engine displacing 2.9 litres, which is paired with a twin-turbo system that delivers 510 CV and 600 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox capable of shifting gears in 150 milliseconds.

In addition, this car features active suspension and a RACE driving mode intended primarily for track use, which unleashes “the beast”, a chassis control unit that synchronises the machine’s activity with the driver to extract the maximum sporting capability from this saloon.

And for those who find the engine’s raw sound not forceful enough, a new exhaust system manufactured by specialist Akrapovic will be available, ensuring that discretion on board this car will be hard to achieve, especially for finishes wearing the livery in Montreal Green of the car shown in this text. Furthermore, two other evocative colours join the already familiar palette: 6C Villa d’Este Red and GT Junior Ocra.

Digital update on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 2020

But it is from the interior that the differences compared with the previous version will stand out. To begin with, it features new driver assistance systems, ADAS, and Level 2 autonomous driving, which aims to ensure the balance between comfort and safety on long and leisurely journeys.

In the cabin, a new centre console caters to customers who demand both connectivity and the greatest information and entertainment options on board. Hence this car is equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen that manages the interaction between these multimedia and digital systems and the machine and the human.

This car, together with the most extreme version of the brand’s SUV, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, will go on sale from this summer, when their final cost will be revealed, but judging by the current model, we estimate that the price of the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will start above 90,000 euros.
