The new BMW M2 is already a fantasy for many, but this is how designers imagine it with this render
A render of the upcoming BMW M2 helps us imagine the styling this model could present, a car whose arrival is eagerly awaited.

For many, the BMW M2 is the ultimate successor to the E46 M3, one of the most highly regarded sports cars from the Bavarian brand. However, the current generation of the M2 is about to reach the end of its life, which will give way to a new model that will follow very similar patterns to those of the current 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupé. Without a doubt, this worries many enthusiasts of the model, since they fear that the legacy left by this generation of the M2 will not be respected, but one designer has wanted to show what the next BMW M2 could be.
On countless occasions, renders are very useful for predicting the styling features of a car, and the new BMW M2 was not going to be an exception. Taking into account the styling of the generation that is about to leave the market and the design patterns used in the current 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupé, it is not difficult to get an idea of what the next M2 will look like.
But it was the designer Zer.o.wt who took it upon himself to show us through his social media that everything looks better on paper. With this premise, he took the liberty of imagining and rendering, with great realism, the design that the next generation of the beloved German sports car could offer, a vehicle that stands out for delivering sensations worthy of the old-school M models.

For the moment, only the front of the supposed new M2 has been “rendered”, an area where we can see traces of the previous model. The taillights and the bonnet still belong to the previous car, but it is in the front bumper where we find two vertical air intakes finished in carbon fibre capable of giving the Bavarian sports car a fresher, more contemporary touch.
As far as the mechanical side is concerned, it is too early to make a guess especially considering these times in which downsizing has the upper hand. Nevertheless, it would not be surprising if the engineers at BMW continued to rely on a turbocharged inline six-cylinder capable of producing more than 400 CV, a figure that would, without a doubt, send power to the rear axle.

Be that as it may, we are sure that the German house already has planned every single detail of the new M2, a vehicle that will arrive to remain firmly in the sports car segment, where it faces constant attacks from one of its most direct rivals: the Porsche 718 Cayman.
