The new BMW M3 takes on the Circuito del Jarama completely covered in snow!

Yes, Filomena had us searching for shovels where there were none, improvising them out of dustpans for sweeping the house floor or, even, having to clear our own streets in the face of the collapse that showed how easy it is to paralyse a town, a region or a country. But who didn’t step outside, simply to enjoy the snow of January 2021 that will be remembered as the great snowfall?

Well then, let me start by expressing my recognition and admiration for the creative team or group of ideologists behind the video of this brand-new BMW M3 taking on the Madrid circuit of Jarama over an almost complete white carpet of snow covering the more than 3.8 kilometres of track.

Keep an eye out for the edge-to-edge action at the snow-covered Circuito del Jarama

Many of us have enjoyed a circuit as technical as they come, one that can turn treacherous if you get complacent thinking you know it like the hallway of your own home, where no two laps are ever the same even when driving alone, and where the way each corner is taken varies endlessly depending on the car, the state of the surface, whether it’s a sunny day, rainy or… snow-covered!

I, at least, had never seen it in this state, and much less driven it like that, so I can’t even imagine how complex and at the same time satisfying and fun that opportunity must have been.

For all of this, in addition to congratulating Mr. De los Milagros, a driver of recognised and extensive experience on this track and others, but above all on the Madrid one, I take my hat off to BMW and the team that filmed a video under these conditions that deserves to be watched and enjoyed again and again, so give it a thumbs up, save it to your favourites and, if need be, download it to keep it as one of the best video records of memories of the passage of the now, forever immortalised storm Filomena.
