The new Honda models will be able to fit the My Honda digital assistant

Vehicle connectivity with their owners is advancing by leaps and bounds, and it seems like only a few years ago when systems began to be used that linked our phone to, for example, listen to music. Now, yes, but only on certain models, we can switch on the air conditioning to starting the engine from the palm of our hand.

Another brand that will offer its customers this kind of technology where the vehicle and user are connected is Honda, thanks to the My Honda system. This system is a virtual assistant that offers numerous functions to care for and keep our Honda safe, and all of them will also be easily accessible from any smartphone with iOS and Android.

My Honda will allow the use of varied and very useful functions for owners of a vehicle from the Japanese firm. We can highlight the various Roadside Services, which, in case we need assistance, My Honda will connect us with a Honda operator who will help us solve our problem, while if unfortunately we suffer an accident, the system automatically connects to the emergency services and sends them our geolocation.

Another very interesting service offered by My Honda are the security alerts. This means that if the system detects strange movements when the vehicle is parked, it will alert the owner, and also send a “Towing alert” if it detects that the car is moving with the engine off. Two other very useful functions in this section are the “Zone control” and “Speed limits”, which is handy if we leave our car with third parties, since My Honda will notify us if the vehicle exceeds the area or speed limits we have set.

We can also check information such as the status of the engine or the battery and, should our Honda need any service at an official workshop, My Honda can facilitate a booking at the corresponding workshop. But there will also be more information available, such as the analysis of data from our recent trips, which can be very useful since, among other things, we can see our fuel consumption and the smoothness score of our driving.

In addition, My Honda will be the perfect complement to the second generation of Honda Connect, the infotainment and connectivity system recently presented in the new Honda Civic, which uses a 7-inch full-color touchscreen that guarantees high clarity and easy handling.

The My Honda app can already be found installed as standard in the new Honda Civic, but it will also be available as an accessory for the Civic and CR-V models from 2007 onwards, the Honda Jazz from 2008 onwards and, finally, for the Honda HR-V from 2016 onwards.
