The new Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988, a luxury car paying tribute to a classic
This special edition of Jaguar F-PACE pays tribute to a classic from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which took victory in 1988.

The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is a formidable car with a remarkable presence. But the brand is not satisfied with that and has wanted to give it a new image, with a special edition that has come from the hands of the SV Bespoke division of the company. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 was created to pay tribute to the Jaguar XJR-9 LM, which took victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988.
That model completed 394 laps of the circuit, so that will be, precisely, the number of units that will be built for this special edition. Not one more. To achieve a spectacular look for this model, Jaguar has opted for a body colour in which Midnight Amethyst Gloss takes absolute centre stage, giving it a very defined and special appearance.

The alloy wheels in Champagne Gold Satin colour, measuring 22 inches, give each of the units to be produced a very elegant contrast. The distinguishing elements also appear in the form of the Sunset Gold Satin lettering on the tailgate, together with a commemorative badge. The 1988 logo is laser-engraved on the front wing.
The exterior mirrors, the brake calipers, the central wheel caps and the letter R of the SVR badges are finished in gloss black. A way to reinforce that powerful image of luxury and elegance.

An interior to stand out
The special edition details continue in the interior, with the presence of semi-aniline leather upholstery in Ebony. There are elegant design accents in Sunset Gold Satin on the steering wheel, the dashboard, the gear paddles and the front seats. There are further badges placed on the steering wheel and at other points in the cabin to reinforce the image of the special edition.
So, although it is a tribute to the 1988 model, work has been done to give it a spectacular and much more attractive image. In fact, to achieve the right tone for the bodywork, up to 40 variations of the Midnight Amethyst Gloss colour have been applied. An impressive job that has resulted in an outstanding vehicle.
As for the engine, there are no changes compared to the standard model. The same supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine powers this special edition. It delivers 550 CV of power and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. We will be able to see this commemorative variant alongside the Jaguar XJR-9 it pays tribute to at the next edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
