Kia expands its range in Spain with a compact with a family character: the K4, a new model that can now be ordered in our country

Kia K4 Estatica3

At the end of last summer, Kia introduced the K4, a compact model with a family-oriented character designed to bridge the C and D segments, with a striking, bold design based on the “Opposites United” design language of the Korean brand. Now, after a reasonable period of time, the brand is bringing it to the European market and, more specifically, to Spain, where it can now be ordered.

Let’s recall that the Kia K4 features a distinctive design highlighted by the floating roofline running towards the tailgate, which gives it a characteristic silhouette, but also by other elements such as the illuminated Star Map signature, inspired by the one used on the EV9, or the rear door handles hidden in the C-pillar. An image that can be enhanced even further with the GT-Line trim, which adds exterior elements painted in black, 17-inch alloy wheels and a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters.

The Kia K4 has dimensions of 4,440 mm in length and 1,850 mm in width, which translates into generous interior space, especially in the rear seats, with ample legroom and headroom that will allow occupants to travel in complete comfort, not to mention a boot with 498 litres of capacity. On top of this, there is state-of-the-art technology and safety equipment, as we will see below.

In addition, all of this can be complemented with a range of optional equipment to enhance comfort, such as the 8-way electric driver’s seat, ventilated front seats or heated front and rear seats, among many others.

Mechanically, the Kia K4 will first be available with the 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, producing 115 CV and paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or, optionally, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and this engine can be chosen for any of the trim levels. One step up and with no hybridisation whatsoever is the 1.6 T-GDI engine, producing 150 CV, available only with the automatic gearbox and for the Drive and Tech trims, while finally, this engine is also available with 180 CV of power for the GT-Line trim only. Hybrid versions will join the range later.

The new Kia K4 can now be ordered in Drive trim with the 115 CV engine from 26,250 euros including discounts (30,770 euros without discounts), while with the 150 CV engine in Drive trim it starts from 29,250 euros and, finally, with the 180 CV engine in GT-Line trim it starts from 34,350 euros.
