The new Lancia Ypsilon will arrive in Europe in 2024! This launch is part of the brand’s strategic plan, which includes the presentation of three new models, one every two years starting in 2024. From 2026, Lancia will only produce 100% electric vehicles. In addition, the brand, which belongs to Stellantis, has appointed five Brand Managers based in the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, France and Belgium.

Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, has said that “today is an important day. Lancia is now ready to return to Europe, taking a first step towards becoming a credible and respected brand in the premium segment. Our ten-year plan, approved last September, is taking shape step by step. We are the Italian brand of elegance, and this is our Renaissance. Innovation and timeless design have always been our core values, and we want to add sustainability, customer focus and responsibility to them, because we look to the future with great ambition.”

The brand’s new strategy will begin in 2024 with the new Lancia Ypsilon. This model could be around four metres long and will belong to the B-segment. It will also feature a fully electric powertrain. Two years later, in 2026, we will be able to see a new Lancia measuring 4.60 metres in length, and in 2028 the new Lancia Delta, measuring 4.40 metres in length, will arrive. As the brand has confirmed, it will be “a sculpted and muscular car, with geometric lines, that will attract the attention of car enthusiasts across Europe.”

These three new models will cover 50% of the market and will have the duty of helping to improve the results of Stellantis’s premium and luxury brands, as set out in Stellantis’s strategic plan “Dare Forward 2030″. It is a ten-year plan with a clear electrification strategy: from 2026 the brand will only launch 100% electric models, and from 2028 it will sell only 100% electric models. There is a major focus on the electrification process, but not only that. The extensive use of innovative materials will make Lancia the Stellantis brand with the highest percentage of recycled material, with 50% of the surfaces that are touched made from eco-sustainable materials, helping to build a better world for future generations.

The new fully electric Lancia models will offer interiors inspired by the Gamma, the Thema and the Flavia. They will also provide a comfortable environment with simple, intuitive on-board technology in line with the brand’s DNA. S.A.L.A., Sound Air Light Augmented, will be a minimalist and intelligent virtual interface that gives the customer full control of the vehicle’s cabin, from the sound system to the climate control and lighting, with just one button.
