Clase E Mercedes Convertibles Coupés
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabrio, together with their AMG versions, arrive in Spain and announce their prices
The refreshed Mercedes-Benz E-Class is gradually being completed, now with the arrival in Spain of the Cabrio and Coupé versions as well as the AMG version of both

A few months ago Mercedes-Benz called its E-Class into action for an aesthetic and technological restyle to keep this high-end saloon up to date. Naturally, these changes have also been carried over to the rest of the range, which comprises the Coupé, Cabrio and AMG versions. These last three now reach the Spanish market with their updates and improved equipment, so we can already confirm their prices.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabrio
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabrio benefit from the restyle applied to the Saloon version, which mainly focuses on giving them a more sporty look thanks to a new front LED light unit with flatter, more rounded housings, which has also meant that the grille has been modified. At the rear, the changes follow the same line, although in this case the internal arrangement of the light unit has been changed.

The interior also sees changes, although, as on the exterior, they are superficial. In this way we will see how Mercedes-Benz has taken the opportunity to give the steering wheel a new design, much more elegant and sporty thanks to the horizontal spokes that recall the wings of an aeroplane; in addition, they will also feature the latest updates for the safety and assistance systems and for the MBUX infotainment system.
In terms of mechanics, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabrio benefit from the improvements first introduced on the Saloon version, with greater efficiency in both the diesel engines and the only petrol engine available for now, the latter incorporating mild-hybrid 48 V technology. Finally, the standard equipment for the Spanish market has been expanded, incorporating interesting elements such as:
- DAB digital radio.
- Automatic high beam headlights.
- Central console trim in open-pore black ash wood.
- Heated front seats (Cabrio only).
- Wireless charging system for smartphones.
- Pre-equipment for private car sharing.
- Remote access services plus.
- 18-inch alloy wheels.
- Comfort package (Cabrio only).
- Longitudinal aluminium trim.
- Navigation package and connectivity pre-equipment.
- Illuminated sill panels.

Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabrio
As with the previous two, the Coupé and Cabrio versions of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ receive the aesthetic changes applied in this restyle, but supported by the sporty styling characteristic of AMG. Thus, the front grille features the vertical slat design typical of AMG, as well as Mercedes-Benz’s A-Wing design for the front apron.
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ stands apart from the rest of the range by incorporating specific upholstery and trim that give it a greater sporty character, as well as the MBUX infotainment system with added functions exclusive to this model. But undoubtedly the big novelty is found in the new steering wheel, which incorporates the Hands-on detection function that detects whether we have taken our hands off the wheel, issuing a series of warnings which, if ignored, will end up activating the emergency stop function.

Mechanically, both the Coupé and the Cabrio Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ use the 3,000 cc six-cylinder in-line engine, which produces a power output of 435 CV and a torque of 520 Nm, although these figures can be increased at certain moments by 22 CV and 250 Nm of torque thanks to the incorporation of 48 V mild-hybrid technology. This engine is also linked to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission that can deliver power to all four wheels thanks to the 4MATIC+ intelligent all-wheel drive.
The starting prices of the new additions to Mercedes-Benz’s E-Class for the Spanish market are set as follows:
