The new Mercedes Clase G looks sharp with the AMG Line trim
We all know the off-road capabilities of the Mercedes Clase G, but now it is time for the new generation to show us its sporty side with the AMG Line package

As you already know, the new Mercedes Clase G was unveiled just a few days ago, offering us a more modern and up-to-date look that also brings it closer to today’s technologies, while still keeping intact, despite its luxurious appearance, all the off-road abilities that have elevated it to the standard of an iconic model. Now it shows us another of its qualities, the sporty side, once again thanks to the changes provided by Mercedes-AMG.
We will still have to wait a little before we can enjoy the new Mercedes Clase G on the roads of the Old Continent, specifically until May, the month in which the Clase G is scheduled to arrive in the various markets and dealerships. In the meantime, Mercedes is gradually revealing the different variants and equipment that will be available, and in the case we are looking at today, the Clase G with the AMG Line package.

With the AMG Line package, the Mercedes Clase G gets a sporty line for both the exterior and the interior, catering to all those customers who are looking for that extra touch of sportiness, but without reaching the power and price that the Mercedes-AMG version will have once it reaches the market. As you can see in the various images, the aesthetic changes are not excessive, but they are enough to set it apart from the rest of the range.
On the outside, the changes focus mainly on giving it small distinctive details. Thus, both at the front and the rear, we find brushed aluminum trim; as well as new wheel arches that are now slightly wider because the bumpers have also been resized; and finally a very minimally revised design for the front grille. The ensemble is completed with 20-inch alloy wheels.

Some changes also take place on the inside. The upholstery chosen is Nappa leather with red stitching, which also appears on the sporty steering wheel with its flat-bottomed design. Finally, aluminum has been used for the various trims, although some details in carbon fiber also appear.
Mechanically there are no major improvements, but even so, we still have the imposing thrust of its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, producing 422 CV and 610 Nm of torque, paired with the 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox. To make better use of all this power and produce a sweet rumble, a new sport exhaust system has been fitted, in addition to revised suspension settings to improve its dynamic behavior.
