The Nissan NP300 Navara will soon get a new generation, the third one. It will be presented at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, which opens on September 15. At the German show, visitors will be able to see the new look and equipment this van from the Japanese brand will offer for the European market. It is the European version of the model being sold in Asia and North America, with largely identical specifications.

The new Nissan aims to improve the dynamic look and the comfort the driver of this model should enjoy, while off-road capability will also be one of the key elements of this new generation. The improvement in this area is supported by a new rear suspension, which will work to make driving and the sense of comfort greater. In addition, this new suspension weighs about 20 kilos less than the previous system, which is already an incentive to reduce the total weight of the vehicle.

Across the different versions of the Nissan NP300 Navara, there are changes that bring small but useful differences compared with the models they replace. In the powertrain section we find a new 2.3-litre dCi engine, available in two power outputs. The first delivers 158 CV and the second 188 CV, so it has enough power to meet the challenges ahead.

This power can be sent to two or four wheels, with an optional seven-speed automatic gearbox. It also includes safety technologies such as the Around View Monitor and Emergency Brake Assist. The Cruise Control and Hill Descent Control will also be included, to control descents down a hill or ramp.

As for load capacity, in all ranges it exceeds one tonne. The cargo area in the Double Cap version is 1,578 mm, slightly larger than its predecessor, and in the King Cab model the cargo area length is 1,788 mm, also a little bigger than the previous version.
