Grandland Opel Electric Cars Curiosities SUV
The new Opel Grandland adopts many features of the Opel Experimental
Opel is focusing the design of its models on three fundamental pillars first presented in the Opel Experimental

Opel is one of the brands offering an electrified range for every segment. Now, they are ready to conquer the C-SUV segment with the introduction of the new Opel Grandland. An SUV that represents a leap forward in design and technology, while also adopting some ideas presented in the Opel Experimental concept car. Since its debut at last year’s IAA Mobility, the Opel Experimental has charted the course toward the brand’s future, and the new Grandland has made it a reality with an impressive style and unprecedented efficiency.
Inspired by the Opel Experimental
The Opel Experimental introduced three fundamental pillars that will define the brand’s future models: Detox, Modern German and Greenovation, concepts that have been perfectly embodied in the Grandland. The Experimental’s distinctive design is echoed in the Grandland’s bodywork, with sharp lines and optimal use of space.

The Grandland adopts the Detox philosophy, a concept based on reducing design to its essentials, focusing on the purity of its lines. The Modern German concept is expressed in its balanced proportions and intelligent solutions that maximise the use of interior space. The emblematic illumination of the Blitz logo is also present.
STLA platform
Opel’s commitment to sustainability is evident: it is fully electric, free of chrome, and uses recycled materials. Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform, designed specifically for electric vehicles, is the foundation on which the Grandland is built. This advanced architecture allows a battery capacity of up to 98 kWh, providing an impressive range of up to 700 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. In addition, the inclusion of a heat pump, standard in Germany, significantly improves performance and range.

When it comes time to recharge, at a fast-charging station it needs only 26 minutes to reach 80% of battery capacity.
The first with the Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix
The Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix HD lighting, which makes its debut on this model, features more than 50,000 light elements, providing a high-resolution light distribution that significantly improves visibility and safety on the road.
Another notable feature is the welcome and farewell animation projected in front of the vehicle, a characteristic that is not only visually appealing but also showcases Opel’s advanced technological capabilities. At the rear, the illuminated OPEL letters integrated into the centre of the compass-style light signature pay homage to the Experimental’s design and are a first for a production model.

Technology without distractions
The interior features horizontal lines running from the instrument cluster to the doors, a 16-inch central screen, slightly angled towards the driver, a digital instrument cluster and the Intelli-HUD head-up display. The Detox philosophy is also reflected in Pure mode, which minimises distractions by reducing the information shown to the bare minimum required.
Opel has succeeded in turning its experimental ideas into tangible reality, offering drivers a vehicle that is both a pleasure to drive and an example of environmental responsibility.
