The new Opel Zafira rolls off the Rüsselsheim assembly line
Opel has announced that the first unit of the fourth generation of the Opel Zafira has rolled off the Rüsselsheim assembly plant. This compact MPV offers all the interior space designed for families, along with major technological additions.

Every time a new generation of a model appears, it is a cause for celebration for everyone involved in the launch. So it is no surprise that the first unit of the new Opel Zafira was welcomed by all the staff at the Rüsselsheim plant and by the company’s own CEO, Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, who was also joined by the Vice President of Manufacturing, Phil Kienle. The two most important figures in the company drove the car from the assembly line to the car park.
The first car of this fourth generation of the Opel Zafira is a unit in Magma Red with the OPC Line package, equipped with the new technologies found on the German brand’s latest models, such as the AFL Adaptive Forward Lighting system with LED technology and radar-based adaptive cruise control.

The technologies added to the model over time remain present, but several new features have also been included that enhance the value of this MPV and make this new generation far surpass previous versions in versatility and equipment.
One of the Zafira’s main strengths lies in how easily its seats can be moved and arranged to accommodate all occupants with the greatest comfort, thanks to the Flex7 system. The success of this Opel model is shown by the 2.7 million units sold since 1999, when the model was launched. The aesthetic changes, both exterior and interior, of this fourth generation are complemented by technological equipment that includes greater and better connectivity, with IntelliLink multimedia systems compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the new OnStar connected mobility and personal assistance services, turning the car into a 4G connection point for all occupants.
