The new Seat León already has prices… and up to 3,840 euros off
Seat confirms the equipment, prices and discounts for the new Seat León, available from 20,890 euros in the special launch version.
Probably one of the most anticipated compacts of this year 2020 is the new Seat León, together with its “cousin”, the Volkswagen Golf 8. We have already been bringing you a lot of information about the new León.
For example, here we broke down the 10 key points of the new Seat León, while in this article we analyse the engine range of the Seat León 2020. We have even compared the Seat León 2020 against the Volkswagen Golf 2020, to see where each model stands out.
Now it’s time to talk about prices and equipment.
The engines and trim levels of the Seat León 2020
The Spanish brand already allows you to configure the new León on its website, although the final date for the start of sales has not yet been set. At the outset, Seat offers the León in 5-door and Sportstourer body variants, with Style, Xcellence and FR trim levels.

Initially, and in principle only for the launch, a special Launch Pack version is also offered, which is characterised by a very competitive price for the generous equipment it includes.
The engine offer includes the 1.5 TSI petrol with 130 and 150 CV and manual gearbox, the 1.5 eTSI 150 CV version with DSG-7 dual-clutch gearbox and Mild Hybrid technology, which has the ECO environmental label from the DGT, and the 150 CV TDI with DSG-7 gearbox.
Later on, the range will add the 3-cylinder TSI in 90 and 110 CV versions, a powerful 190 CV TSI, the 115 CV TDI, the TGI versions of Compressed Natural Gas CNG with 130 CV, a new MHEV variant on the 110 CV TSI engine, and the León eHybrid, the plug-in hybrid version with a ZERO label.
Seat León 2020: with the Launch Pack launch edition
The Launch Pack launch version is particularly interesting, as it includes as standard across all trim variants the navigation system with a 10-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Mirror Link, and the digital instrument cluster.

The Style Launch Pack versions come with very complete equipment. Highlights include rain and light sensors, rear-view cameras, XDS electronic differential lock, fatigue detector, emergency brake assist (with pedestrian and cyclist protection), lane departure warning, voice control, multifunction steering wheel, 16-inch alloy wheels, 3-zone climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensor, wireless phone charger, electric parking brake and keyless start.

For roughly 1,800 euros more, the Xcellence Launch Pack adds automatic high beam, adaptive and predictive cruise control, traffic sign recognition system, keyless opening, front parking sensor, automatic parking assist, 17-inch wheels, full LED headlights and design details. Given the individual price of all the options taken separately, it is worth opting for the Xcellence if you want to improve on the already complete standard equipment of the Style.

As for the FR sporty trim, it costs less than 1,300 euros more than the Xcellence. In this case it adds progressive steering, the chassis with DCC adaptive sports suspension, the Seat Drive Profile driving mode selector and a whole series of sporty elements specific to both the exterior and interior design.

These are the prices of the launch range for the new Seat León 2020, including the brand’s commercial discount as announced in the configurator, of 3,100 euros, which rises to 3,840 euros in the case of the entry-level version.

Our “ideal” Seat León, in addition to the entry-level variant for the tightest budgets, would be the 1.5 eTSI Xcellence. For 25,550 euros you get the fantastic 150 CV petrol engine already paired with the 7-speed DSG gearbox, very complete equipment and, in addition, the advantages of the ECO label.
