The new Toyota GT86 is shown playing in the snow

The new Toyota GT86 of 2017 features updates to its design, chassis and equipment. This compact, lightweight sports car further highlights its dynamic driving credentials. The new Toyota GT86 receives a series of suspension adjustments that give the vehicle greater stability in corners and more comfort on the road.

The exterior design of the new GT86 respects the original model’s core lines, but its sporty character has been reinforced with new LED headlights, a lower bonnet and a revised front bumper. At the rear, it features a new, larger spoiler made of aluminium. In addition, the bodywork has gained rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency.

The track mode also features a stopwatch for recording lap times. Mechanically, it keeps the successful 200 CV boxer engine mounted at the front axle and rear-wheel drive that enthusiasts appreciate so much. The six-speed gearbox is offered in both manual and automatic versions.

Among the features of this new Toyota GT86 the standout is the new track mode (“circuit mode”), which minimises the intervention of electronic systems (stability and traction control). This driving mode projects a series of data on the TFT screen, such as information on the power, torque and G-force curves. The track mode also features a stopwatch for recording lap times on circuit.

The equipment updates include a hill start assist (HAC), emergency braking warning lights (warning) and the latest version of the Toyota Touch 2, a multimedia system with a 6.1-inch screen and Bluetooth connectivity.
