The new Toyota Supra has already succumbed to modifications thanks to Prior Design

Prior Design did not hesitate for a second to modify the new Toyota Supra, a model that, for now, receives significant aesthetic improvements.

In the past, we have already witnessed how the Toyota Supra became a cult vehicle for those users most passionate about modifications, a practice that is also very common these days. With the arrival of the fifth generation of the Japanese sports car, surely many rubbed their hands together while imagining all the potential they could extract from the new Supra, but Prior Design has beaten them to it to whet their appetite even further. That’s right, the German tuner did not waste a second in developing an aesthetic kit for the Toyota Supra, a model that has allowed itself to be charmed by the company’s allure.

For now, we do not know whether Prior Design has tampered with the mechanics of the Toyota sports car, but its overwhelming styling confirms that we will most likely find a significant performance upgrade in the future. With this premise, we can see how the tuner has sought to bring this latest Supra even closer to the original MKIV design, but bringing out a more aggressive and imposing character.

At first glance, we find a more imposing front end, an effect we must thank, above all, the wider wheel arches for. We must also highlight a new grille on the bonnet, designed both to enhance that sportier feel and to offer better cooling for the powertrain.

The rear, which also has a more robust appearance thanks to the widened rear wheel arches, has been enhanced by the presence of a new rear wing. This extends directly from the ducktail spoiler that comes as standard on the new Toyota Supra, seeking to improve the aerodynamic work and offer an aesthetic more in line with the design language used by Prior Design.

As we have mentioned, we do not know whether this preparation will include a mechanical upgrade, but we are clear about the starting point the German tuner will take. To be more specific, the new Toyota Supra is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder inline engine capable of delivering 340 CV and 500 Nm of torque, figures sent exclusively to the rear axle. Thanks to its turbo heart, Prior Design will have an easier time extracting more power from it, something that will also happen with the BMW Z4, a model with which the Japanese manufacturer shares its mechanical layout.

In this way, the German-based tuner offers us what is surely the first modification for the new Toyota Supra, a model that will soon receive various improvements. At the same time, it is good news for more hardcore customers seeking stronger experiences, since they will not only have one of the most charismatic models of all time in their garage, but will also have access to significant modifications.
