The Nissan 400Z, the long-awaited sports car, has been spotted during its production phase

It was this summer when Nissan unveiled to the world the spectacular Nissan Z Proto, a striking prototype that served as a prelude to the long-awaited Nissan 400Z. However, the Japanese brand kept a deafening silence regarding the production model, not letting a single piece of data slip out about it… until now. And it is that leaks, which have already flooded the internet, have taken it upon themselves to reveal the long-awaited Nissan 400Z, the production version of the Z Proto and worthy successor to the Z dynasty, from which it inherits the legacy of the Nissan 370Z.

For now, Nissan has made no reference to the street model, letting the images speak for themselves. With this premise, we find a Nissan 400Z that is highly faithful to the concept it is based on, offering few aesthetic novelties beyond some touch-ups inspired by feedback on the Z Proto.

The front end boasts more rounded headlights and a less abrupt grille, an effect offset thanks to a slight curvature. Following its shape, we find a subtle yet sufficiently aggressive front splitter, while the rear is dominated by a small duck-tail spoiler and cylindrical exhaust outlets that are genuinely good.

The cabin does not differ much from the one presented in the Z Proto. We find a fully digital instrument cluster, three analogue dials governing the dashboard, and a touch-operated screen. In addition, the physical climate controls are retained, along with a manually operated handbrake, a detail that has been lost in modern cars.

But the true highlight of the Nissan 400Z will be found in its mechanical specification, where a turbocharged V6 is expected, capable of producing more than 400 CV. For now, Nissan has not confirmed anything about the performance of its new sports car, but leaks have promised close to 450 CV, a figure that could change the name of the production model.

With all of this on the table, we can only wait for Nissan to give the go-ahead to premiere the new Nissan 400Z. This event could take place within weeks or even days, which will consolidate a legendary sports car saga and generate considerable debate in the sector by introducing a new option that will pose a problem for its main rivals.
