The crossover segment is growing all over the world, and we are seeing new models from different brands that will arrive in the coming months. Nissan has surprised us with the Kicks, a vehicle designed to move around cities while keeping the spirit of adventure that these small, versatile cars promise.

On the outside, it features the V-shaped grille typical of the brand, with headlights that also reflect the design language of Nissan and give this car the personality it needs to position itself in this vehicle niche. To enhance its off-road character, it shows wide, sturdy wheel arches ready to tackle terrain more demanding than the asphalt of city streets.

The interior also aims to stand out, offering equipment that keeps the driver comfortable and gives easy, pleasant access to all the controls and safety features. The sporty steering wheel has a flat bottom section, which adds to driving comfort. The infotainment systems are linked to an impressive seven-inch touchscreen.

This system enables connectivity with smartphones, as well as a peripheral vision system and the Moving Object Detection System, which is new to this segment.

Production of the Nissan Kicks will start at the Aguascalientes plant in Mexico, as the first market for this model will be that country and other Latin American markets. Production will later also begin in Brazil, so that it will reach all of South America. The model will also be expanded to the rest of the world after its introduction in this market.

Details about its engine and other features will be revealed later, closer to its launch in this first market. What do you think of Nissan’s new crossover?
