The Nissan Patrol Nismo will become a reality in the Middle East

Coming up next: the Nissan Patrol Nismo, the sporty variant of the Japanese SUV that will arrive on March 31 and will be available in the Middle East.

The world of SUVs is extremely crowded, and we can find all kinds of variants and body styles within it. Above all of them are the sporty SUVs, a type of vehicle that seeks to combine performance with versatility. A faithful representative of these two concepts will be the Nissan Patrol Nismo, a version of the Japanese SUV that, unfortunately, will only be available in very specific markets, such as the Middle East. These are precisely the regions of the world where restrictions are permissive enough to allow a vehicle like the Patrol Nismo.

For now, and as is customary, the Japanese brand has only provided a teaser and a date, so the mystery surrounding the Nissan Patrol Nismo remains. However, considering the steps Nissan has taken with its other sporty models, we can make fairly accurate predictions.

The already striking essence of the Nissan Patrol will be complemented by certain sporty touches. Bumpers, wheels, grilles, sill covers, spoiler, diffuser and exhaust outlet will be among the many components modified in this version to bring out the sportier side of the Japanese SUV.

The cabin will receive similar treatment, where the brand will showcase new materials such as Alcantara and carbon fiber, as well as sport-style seats and a specific instrument graphic for this version. However, the true highlight of the Nissan Patrol Nismo will be found in its mechanical section, where a setup worthy of its name will be installed, in line with the mechanical freedom enjoyed in regions such as the Middle East.

Indeed, under the hood of this enhanced version of the Nissan Patrol Nismo is a 5.6-liter V8 capable of delivering more than 400 CV. With all this on the table, the sporty SUV from Nissan will go straight for the throat of rivals such as the Audi SQ7, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 or the BMW X5 M50i, among others.

Either way, it will be on March 31 when we learn every last detail of the Nissan Patrol Nismo. Although we won’t be able to enjoy the presence of this SUV in Europe, it will be worth seeing how it stands up against its most direct rivals and how it seeks to take the crown in a segment that, as we have already mentioned, is so crowded.
