The Onuk Sazan, the first sports car from Turkey

I think Turkey is the last place in the world where one would expect a sports car to emerge. But the reality is that the Onuk Sazan is the first Turkish sports car that would be produced in series and that can boast a certain exclusivity.
A certain Dr Onuk took charge of the design steps (it seems the Pagani Zonda is one of his favourite cars) and the construction of the first prototype, named after his son who died in a traffic accident, Sazan; a striking resemblance to Enzo Ferrari, his son Dino and one of the most emblematic models of the cavallino.
But returning to the Onuk Sazan, the engine options seem respectable. There are two engine options, one of them is the Nissan V6 that equips the Maxima and that would be developing 450 horsepower with a turbocharger, quite a bit more than in its original car. If the customer is a little more demanding when it comes to engines, he can opt for the 512-horsepower V8 from GM’s LS7 engine.
Although no further performance data has been reported, the combination of these two named engines and a weight of only 900 kg could lead to something very interesting. Although for the 300,000 euros the Onuk Sazan will cost, it remains to be seen whether it can rub shoulders with the brands that have been in the segment for many years or whether it will just remain another curiosity.
