The Opel Ampera will be cheaper in the United Kingdom

Last month we shared the general price of the Opel Ampera for the European market, however recent reports from the network indicate that consumers in the United Kingdom will be able to buy the extended-range electric car for approximately €34,247.

The government subsidy offered to all users who purchase an eco-friendly vehicle is expected to favour this move. Furthermore, the news seems to have been very well received by British enthusiasts, as forums indicate that anticipation for the car’s arrival has increased.

And although it is still too early to forecast a sales margin, the company has reported that it expects a good performance in the United Kingdom. Moreover, Opel confirmed that it is accepting reservations for the Ampera.

On the other hand, GM’s European division announced that it will not sell the car at a lower price, since an operation of this nature would not sustain the production cost.
