Frontera Opel Electric Cars SUV
The Opel Frontera already has an official price in Spain, and we think you're going to like it
The price of the electric version of the Opel Frontera in Spain is significantly lower than what buyers will have to pay in other European countries, such as Germany or the Netherlands.
Opel is already taking orders for its new affordable electric SUV in several European countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and also Spain, among others.
In its home market, Germany, the electric Frontera is available from 28,990 euros. This model features an electric motor producing 83 kW and a 44 kWh battery pack, which allows it to cover up to 305 kilometres without stopping under the WLTP homologation cycle. Opel presented these figures during the world premiere in May, as we told you at the time in a previous article here at HighMotor. However, the official price has only now become known, as the manufacturer has started accepting orders.

In Italy, the starting price will be 27,400 euros, while in Spain we’ll be lucky enough to pay even less, just 23,500 euros. A figure that could be reduced even further if we apply the MOVES plan. On the other hand, the hybrid version will be priced in our country below 22,000 euros. Likewise, in the Netherlands the electric Frontera will start at 30,499 euros.
If the range of the current electric model falls short for you, don’t worry
In the near future, Opel is expected to also market a version with extended range, which will be able to cover up to 400 kilometres on a single charge under the WLTP homologation cycle. Although we don’t have any further confirmed details about this version for the moment, everything suggests it will integrate an electric motor with 115 kW of power and a 54 kWh battery pack.
The German manufacturer, now under Stellantis control, offers two trim levels independent of the propulsion system, whether hybrid or fully electric, called Frontera Edition and Frontera GS. The first of these is already very complete, with a ten-inch driver information display, a smartphone charger, OpelConnect with several telematics services, manual air conditioning, LED headlights and rear Park Pilot. The Frontera GS, for its part, includes the Pure Panel instrument cluster with another ten-inch colour touchscreen and integrated navigation, front parking sensors and reversing camera, LED headlights and rear lights, as well as automatic air conditioning. The Frontera GS also comes with 17-inch wheels as standard.

In statements to the media, Florian Hüttl, the current Chief Executive Officer of Opel, has assured that the new Frontera stands out for its excellent value for money. He added that, in his opinion, this new model underlines Opel’s ambition to put electric mobility within reach of many more people.
