The Opel Grandland Hybrid arrives to complete the model's range
The Opel Grandland Hybrid reduces fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions thanks to the combination of its combustion and electric engines.

The Opel Grandland has already been on the market for some time with several versions, such as the electric version and the plug-in hybrid version. Now it launches in the Hybrid version, which was still missing from the range and will complete the model’s offering worldwide. With this new version, the options available to buyers are complemented.
The Opel Grandland Hybrid is based on an engine with a 48-volt electric motor, which allows both fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions to be reduced by 18%. The petrol engine with variable-geometry turbocharger and Miller combustion cycle works together with the electric motor thanks to the electrified six-speed transmission.

In this way, consumption and emissions are optimised, so fuel savings are more effective. With this propulsion system, the engine achieves a consumption of 5.7 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of 128 g/km. Both in the city and on the open road, both engines operate efficiently, either separately or together.
The combustion engine is always used at start-up, to ensure that the catalytic converter and the brake assist work correctly. However, if the car moves off from a standstill, the electric motor takes over, allowing a smoother and quicker start. It can also act when moving at low speeds, especially in urban environments, when manoeuvring or parking.

In urban driving, the electric motor can run fully electric for roughly 50% of the time, which allows considerable fuel savings. The battery charging that supplies energy to the electric motor takes place during braking and deceleration.
The driver always knows when the car is running on the electric motor or the combustion engine, because the numbers on the instrument display change from white to blue. On this screen, data related to this can be viewed, including battery level, motor function and wheels.
There are three driving modes: Power, ECO and Charge. In the first, the car delivers maximum performance, using both motors as efficiently as possible. The ECO mode provides the most efficient operation at any given moment, and the Charge mode is activated when the car recharges the battery through braking or deceleration.
Furthermore, all the equipment on the Opel Grandland is the same as the other variants, so it is just as functional as the rest.
