The new Opel Mokka GSE, recently unveiled at the IAA Mobility, is now on sale and available to order at Spanish dealerships

As you know, Opel already uses the designation GSE for its fully electric performance models, an acronym that is a clear nod to the GSI badge that for many years identified its combustion-engined sports cars. The latest model to carry the new GSE name is the electric Mokka, a new version directly inspired by the Mokka GSE Rally that will compete in the FIA’s eRally5 category.

The new Opel Mokka Electric has been on the German brand’s range for some time and now also comes in this new, powerful GSE version. It was presented at the IAA Mobility in Munich, where Opel also announced the start of sales across various European markets, including Spain, where it is now available to order.

The Opel Mokka GSE features specific solutions such as a tuned chassis, twin hydraulic dampers, optimised brakes and a multi-plate Torsen limited-slip differential. Add to that an electric motor delivering 281 CV and 345 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Opel electric model to date. These figures allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h.

Its electric system includes a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides a certified range of 324 kilometres on the WLTP combined cycle. With the 11 kW on-board charger, it can go from 20% to 80% in just over 3 hours. On a 100 kW DC fast charger, it reaches the same level in 27 minutes, while charging from a domestic socket takes just over 11 hours.

As I mentioned, the new Opel Mokka GSE is now available to order in Spain, priced from 47,300 euros, including taxes.
