The Pagani C9 remains faithful to AMG's V12

Horacio Pagani confirmed some details that were expected about the Pagani C9, his next creation. To begin with, there is no chance of seeing the finished model until the Geneva Motor Show next year. The car will keep AMG’s 6-litre V12 engine, producing 690 CV (fewer CV than the Zonda R, but more torque).
It seems the launch of the C9 revolves around homologation in the North American market, where Paganis have never been sold due to emissions regulations. The engine would be opening the doors to the American market, since it complies with US standards and with Euro V, needless to say.
To begin producing the C9, Pagani must prepare the end of the Zonda’s run which, between special editions and orders from Arab sheikhs, will only leave production at the end of September.
The Pagani C9 will be an expensive toy, as we could not expect less. The planned price is 900,000 euros, and only 40 units will be built per year.
