The Peugeot 2008 debuts a 1.2-litre engine producing 110 hp

Peugeot has just announced that its urban crossover, the Peugeot 2008 now features a new 1.2-litre engine, joining the model’s other options already available in our country. This new engine will be available in the Allure trim, and it happens to be the engine chosen as the “International Engine of the Year 2015” in the 1.0 to 1.4-litre category. It is the 1.2L PureTech 110 EAT6 powertrain, which delivers 110 CV and complies with the Euro 6 emissions and consumption standards.

The newly added engine in the Peugeot 2008 range is paired with an EAT6 automatic gearbox with torque converter, which, combined with the powertrain, allows fuel consumption of 4.8 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of 110 grams per kilometre. The maximum torque this version of the crossover produces is 205 Nm.

The addition of this engine to the model’s range complements the other powertrains and the equipment available in this trim. Among the systems the Peugeot 2008 comes with as standard are a hands-free kit Bluetooth and, if reserved during this month, the navigation system, which is part of the commercial promotion prepared for buyers who choose this model and trim.

The touchscreen also controls the parking assistance system, which helps carry out the manoeuvres needed to park the vehicle. It is not a fully autonomous system, as the driver must operate the pedals and stay alert to any unforeseen events while the parking system performs the manoeuvres to park or exit a parking space.

The interior features the i-Cockpit and the touchscreen, with LED-based lighting. The price of this Peugeot 2008 1.2L PureTech 110 EAT6 is 18,000 euros, including the PIVE 8 Scrappage Plan.
