The Peugeot 208 more accessible than ever thanks to the Like special edition

The world of compact cars is a great option when it comes to choosing a car. This is due to the great versatility these types of cars offer, since they allow us to get around the city and at the same time tackle the open road without problems. However, some brands have wanted to make this type of vehicle even more special, as is the case with the Peugeot. The French firm has just unveiled the 208 Like, a special edition that is much more accessible and good value.

The Peugeot 208 hit the market with a great responsibility on its shoulders: to continue the strong sales figures of its predecessors. Without a doubt, the French compact has succeeded in meeting this goal, but the lion brand wanted to pay a special tribute to the 208. From that idea comes the Like variant, a special edition designed for those who want to save a few euros on a very well-equipped car.

Aesthetically, we find no major differences compared to a standard 208. The Like version features some distinctive badges, such as the ones below the wing mirrors. It shows some chrome elements along its exterior, giving the compact a touch of quality. At the same time, one of the most interesting points of this special edition is its standard equipment.

The cabin is headed by what Peugeot calls the i-Cockpit, made up of the very distinctive steering wheel and an infotainment system that gives access to most of the functions of the 208 Like. An essential component is the Head-Up Display with LCD screen, which means we don’t have to take our eyes off the road and get constant information about our speed and other key data.

As for engines, there are two available for the Like trim. Specifically, the firm offers a 1.6 BlueHDi diesel engine producing 75 CV, a highly recommended option for very low fuel consumption. On the other hand, Peugeot offers a 1.2 PureTech engine as the petrol representative, which delivers 68 CV of power, ideal for urban journeys.

The Like version will be available in both the three-door and five-door variants, but the best thing about this special 208 is its price. From just 8,910 euros you can get hold of a unit, a figure that rises to 9,410 euros if you opt for the five-door version. Without a doubt, the 208 Like is a perfect opportunity to get a very complete and, at the same time, affordable vehicle.
