New 1.6L BlueHDi 100 CV S&S Engine
The Peugeot 308 continues to add new features to its range, making it more attractive and opening it up to more potential future customers. The latest addition to the car named European Car of the Year 2014, is none other than the new 1.6L BlueHDi 100 CV engine, equipped with the Stop & Start system.
This new engine combines good performance with low emissions while respecting the environment. It records consumption of just 3.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 94 g/km. It complies with the new and strict Euro 6 standard.
The new 1.6L BlueHDi engine is available for both the SW family estate body and the saloon. The Peugeot 308 stands out for its quality, its design, the variety of options and the versatility of its interior. It is a tough rival within the crowded C segment.
The BlueHDi technology achieves a reduction of up to 90% of nitrogen oxide (NOx), the optimisation of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, as well as a reduction of 99.9% in particulate matter. The polluting elements produced by combustion are eliminated in three stages.
It combines three key elements to carry out this process: the particulate filter (FAP) with additive, the Selected Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst and the Stop & Start system.
The new engine combination that Peugeot launches on the 308 is already available at the French brand’s dealer network from 16,850 euros.
