The Peugeot 508 HYbrid4 goes on sale in Spain

Peugeot has begun offering the 508 HYbrid4 on the Spanish market, a generously sized saloon with diesel-hybrid technology. It joins the brand’s range in a single variant, priced at €36,200 in Spain.

With a price of €36,200 for a single available trim (Allure) on the Peugeot 508 HYbrid4, the lion brand has announced the start of sales of the hybrid version of the 508, which has already been on offer in other European markets for a few months.

This hybrid variant features a diesel engine combined with a hybrid system, which translates into the well-known 2.0 HDi diesel engine producing 163 CV and an electric motor delivering 37 CV mounted on the rear axle. All of this is managed through four driving modes, which make use of either the diesel or the electric motor depending on the driving style.

The four driving modes are Auto, ZEV (fully electric), Sport and 4WD; all of them can be selected via a button located on the centre console. In addition, it features a good number of safety systems that are already standard across the group’s premium saloons, while also boasting homologated consumption of just 3.6 l/100 km.

The exterior design sets it apart from the rest of the range thanks to the HY4 badge on the front grille. Overall, there is no change in exterior design for our market compared with the version previously sold in neighbouring countries, except for the smaller boot caused by the hybrid system batteries, which offers only 355 litres of capacity compared with the other powertrains available on the 508.
