The Peugeot 608 according to Autobild

In 2014 Peugeot will return to the luxury saloon segment with the 608. The successor to the phenomenal but largely overlooked 607 (see test here) will feature a design strongly influenced by the lines of the HX1 concept shown at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show.

The French super saloon will be offered exclusively as an estate-sporty body style, in the manner of the Citroën DS5, but larger. In fact, it will measure a considerable 4.95 metres long and almost 2 metres wide. These dimensions place it on a par with a Mercedes-Benz R-Class.

As for engines, the diesel range will stand out in particular, with power outputs ranging from 163 to 275 CV. In addition, there will also be a hybrid version combining the power of a 204 CV diesel engine with that of a 95 CV electric motor.

Prices will start from 55,000 € in Germany. Above you will find a graphic representation approximating the appearance of the Peugeot 608.
