At last, Peugeot has put the EX1 to the test of the real world, in acceleration figures. If you remember this very distinctive and spectacular model presented in Paris, the association of electric-acceleration-speed will not go unnoticed for the EX1. If you still don’t have a clear picture of the concept, the header photo says it all.

The EX1 has achieved five records during the test session held at the Chengdu military airport in the province of Sichuan. These records were set by two pilots who embody the Franco-Chinese friendship and a good opportunity to further connect the French people of Peugeot with the new market they have entered: Han Han, a pilot, writer and famous Chinese blogger, extremely popular among China’s urban youth, and Nicolas Vanier, a French explorer, filmmaker and pilot who loves speed and is a great defender of the environment.

Han Han achieved records over the 1/8 mile and the 1/4 mile, with respective times of 7:08.62 and 12:67.54. These records have been certified and will be homologated by the China Automobile Federation, responsible for validating the quality and accuracy of the measurements taken.

For his part, Nicolas Vannier set several non-homologable records, from 0 to 100 km/h, reached in 3.49 seconds, and over 400 m. He also achieved the symbolic longitudinal acceleration of 1G in 39 metres.
